The development of edge computing architectures applied to embedded systems addresses the limitations of traditional centralized models, particularly in terms of latency, bandwidth consumption, and dependence on cloud infrastructure, which impacts performance in real-time environments. The objective of this study was to analyze the efficiency of these architectures based on connectivity indicators, digital infrastructure, and distributed processing capacity. A quantitative explanatory approach was adopted, using data from national and international organizations, complemented with statistical analysis through Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The main results show a positive relationship between connectivity infrastructure quality and the feasibility of implementing edge-based embedded systems, as well as a significant impact of processing decentralization on latency reduction and operational performance improvement. Likewise, distributed architectures enhance system autonomy and real-time responsiveness. In this context, edge computing is identified as a strategic technological solution for complex embedded environments.
